NuCore is one of the new vinyl plank luxury races, known as the hard core. It is constructed with a resistant wear layer on top, a decorative layers (a wood or stone image) followed by the vinyl layer adheres to a waterproof rigid plastic core and finally an underlying cork retaining structure.
It is constructions of several layers (a little like the flooring of a laminate).
Nucore Flooring Reviews
NuCore is a floating installation for tongue and groove. The more together you are snaping, the heavier it gets and helps maintain it.
Once it has been installed, we also put quarter round trimming around the base board and edges of the NuCore. This helps to maintain it, of course.
A wide range of dimensions, with wood look planks with lengths and widths of 47.95″ and 3″ to 8,” and stones look in tiles of 12″ x 24.” NuCore is waterproof. The wear layer is generous: 20 mil or more, or the wear thickness is 5,5mm or 6,5 mm.
The assessment is very open and honest on all the flooring aspects with several excellent comments:
“It doesn’t easily scratch, but it got some scratches to our floor. However, you must hunt for them. The scratches are not white, but brown, so the floor is mixed in.”
